4. GoPro Hero 4
Not necessary, but I like to film our adventures and make a montage of the clips. It's fun to look back once in a while and a lot of people ask us if they can come with us which isn't always possible, so this is a way to share our urban exploring adventures with them.
5. Extra batteries and SD cards
Well, you don’t want to run out of batteries and memory while shooting. I also bring a cheap sd card in case I have to hand in my sd card or delete my pictures.
As for deleting my pictures goes, I just shoot some random pictures on my extra sd card and switch to the sd card I actualy will be using. When I exit a building or I see someone coming my way I quickly switch the card with the sd card with the random pictures. So if I need to delete my footage or I have to hand in my sd card, I always have my ‘’good’’ card with the actual footage.
6. Grip gloves
I use them for climbing.
7. LED camera light
I only use this when it’s real dark and a flashlight won’t give enough light.
Because, well you know... light.
9. Dust masks
I always bring dust masks. Locations can be really gross and dusty. So be careful and protect yourself.
10. Pocket knife
Just in case I get stuck. Never ever use tools to break open any door, window or other possible entrance to enter a building.
This is what I most of the time take with me when I go exploring. Hopefully it's useful for you and let me know if you have any tips for me.
